Sigilization of Sound

hqdefault

A plethora of sounds surround us on a daily basis, yet we lack the cognitive capacity to be fully aware of every single sound. Still, the deep recesses of our minds retains this information and sometimes uses it to program the hidden psychological schemas that shape the way we behave and what we believe.  Learning to shape the sonic landscape, through a sigilizaiton process, may be beneficial in the subtle exertion of Will. Who knows, you may already be subject to it, and not realize the subtle influences directing your subconscious mind.

Creating a Sound Diary

The first step in creating a sound sigil is to create a sonic library of each aspect of your everyday life. With today’s technology, this can be easily done using the voice recorder application on most cell phones. There is no need to purchase an expensive digital audio device, or bulky cassette recorder. You may, however, do so if you feel so compelled. The key to making this work is to keep each recording in the library as ordinary (boring) as possible.

Since you are most likely intimately familiar with the use and function of your cell phone it may be your best tool.

Begin to create your library by recording several minutes of each aspect of your daily routine. Record your waking moments and your morning routine. Then record your morning meal and your trip to work. At work, record several minutes of your typical daily routine from different points in the day where you are simply engaged in doing your job. Also, record several minutes of your trip home, your evening meal, and preparing for the end of your day.

Ideally you will end up with a fairly large library of normal everyday sounds in your life. Try not to capture un-ordinary moments, keep them as routine (boring) as possible. In addition, record these sessions only when you are in the best of health. If you are suffering from a cold or other temporary malady, wait for it to pass before you create your everyday library. The reason for this will become apparent in the application of the sigilization process.

As you record your files be sure to name them clearly with the event, date and time of day. You will need to be very well organized and efficient with this step. When you have accumulated a full set of sounds, transfer them to your home computer.  Make sure all of these files are stored on your computer in a single folder in such a way you can easily access them and understand what the sounds are in the file.

Setting your Intention

Once you have built your library, you now have the foundation for which to create alternate audio realities. All you do is simply build upon this foundation by weaving in the sounds of a new reality. As with any sigilization process, the first step is to set your intention. That is, to decide what it is you want to accomplish.

Once you know what it is you want to do, you need to procure correct sonic representations of the outcome. Your original sound library was of ordinary moments, so to must be the recording of your intention. Avoid, at all costs, any transitory moments. You do not want the sounds of you achieving your goal, or about to achieve your goal. You want to capture the sounds of what it is like after you have achieved your goal. One strong word of advice: Keep it boring!

The reasoning for this particular process is two-fold. First, it gets you thinking beyond your goal. A goal should never be considered a destination. It is just another point on the map on your road of evolution/ becoming. If you think and feel as if you are already in the situation you wish to bring about, then your mind and spirit will adjust to being into that state.

This is the secondary aspect of the process.  When you playback the sounds of what it is like after you have achieved your goal, your subconscious becomes tuned to existing within that state. When you have agreement with conscious intention and subconscious belief then the corporeal manifestation of that intention is only a matter of the passage of time. You will unconsciously take the correct actions in the world to bring about your will.

Now, on to the process. If you are looking for a promotion at work, record several minutes of the ambient noise of the area of business you will be working in. This can be accomplished by silently loitering in the area or even “accidentally” leaving your phone behind.  You will need to employ your creativity to discover what sounds you need to record and how you will record them.

If you are looking to improve your health, record sounds of you performing healthy tasks. Record the sound of you eating a healthy meal and exercising. Keep those sounds handy and the file names named well.

Suppose you are looking to go on a cruise. This can be challenging, because you are obviously not going to be able to get on the ship before you go on the cruise. Instead, scour through videos of other people already on their cruise. Look for moments of idle ambience. You do not want to capture moments of “Bon Voyage” or the departing whistle blows. You want the hum of the ship’s engines, the banter of crowds of people meandering through the decks, or any other ordinary moments. Keep it boring! You are looking to capture the sounds of what it will be like 90% of the time on the ship. Not the outstanding and exciting moments.

When you have your intentions recorded, be sure all of the files are clearly named so that you understand exactly what is in those files. It is a good idea to keep a separate folder, on your computer for each intention. Again, organization at this stage is the key to success. You want to know where each is file is what is in them.

Putting It All Together

Now that you have collected the sounds of your set intention it is time to mix them with your daily library. Mixing the sounds of your intention with your daily routine is the sound sigil. There are a number of free shareware audio editing programs to help you create this sigil. Audacity for Windows and Garage Band for Macintosh will work well.

If you are familiar and comfortable with professional audio editing software such as Cubase of ProTools, then of course, feel free to use them.

Organization and awareness, at this point are still essential. Begin by creating a timeline of events. Think of yourself in the future, after achieving your intention, and what those moments will be like. Then look back at your daily ambient sounds files and using the audio editor, place the files in order of how you envision them taking place. Place the sounds of the beginning of your day first. Next, place the outcome sounds where they should go. Finish the set with the ending of your day sounds.

In essence, you are creating a sonic snapshot of the events as they will transpire after you have gained your goal. You will play back this sigil, over and over, so that it seeps into your subconscious and rewires the belief centers deep within. The subconscious mind does not know the difference between past/ present/ future or reality/ fantasy.

It only believes what it perceives, and you are consciously rewriting what it perceives. As the subconscious comes to believe that this sonic reality already exists, it will work in subtle ways to create the world it believes should already exist.

Logically this process may sound convoluted. But remember, you are dealing with the subconscious and the deep belief it holds deep within. These things do not communicate in the same ways that the conscious mind understands. If this process of sound sigilization does not make sense to your conscious mind, that is because it is not supposed to. The logic of the conscious and subconscious are not compatible, and both are true.  All that matters is that you create audible representations of events that are to come, and the subconscious will take care of the rest.

Back to our examples: If you are creating a sigil for a promotion at work, begin with your normal daily routine. In your audio editing program, set up the sounds of the start of your day, your morning routine, and your trip to work. Instead of your normal workday sounds, place in the ambient sounds you recorded of the area you will be working in. Finish the project with the sounds of you going home, your evening routine, and going to bed. What you have created is the sounds of your normal workday, after you have received your promotion in a time compressed format. Keep it boring!

You can do the same with the improving health. Insert the moments of healthy eating and exercise within the normal sounds of your daily routines. Since you will be playing back the sounds of you doing things that are improving the function of your body, it is important to have sounds of your body already functioning at optimum levels. If you play back sounds of you in a state if ill health, your subconscious will pick up on that and keep your body in a state of ill health. It is a good idea, as you reach new levels of health, to update your daily library. You want to be listening sounds of your health improving one step beyond where you are now. Though it is subtle, your subconscious will pick up on these clues and build upon them. Keep it boring!

For the cruise, include your normal daily routine and after the sounds of travelling in your car insert the sounds of being on the cruise. Be sure to include the sounds of returning home and finishing your daily routine. These finishing sounds will ensure that a reality is being woven that includes your safe return. Keep it boring!

Finish all recordings by using the Normalize function in your editor. Look through the different effects editors in the audio editing program. What Normalization will do is set the volume levels of all of your segments to the same level. Do not add any equalization or special effects.  You want all the segments at the same audio level. When you have completed this, save your sound sigil in a folder just for sigils. The naming convention of the sigil file is just as important as the ordinary ambient files, however it is vastly different.

Instead of creating a file name that tells you exactly the intention is, you want the sigil’s file name to be as ambiguous as possible. Simply name the file as “Sigil:” with a string of random letters and numbers. It is important to remove the lust of result during the sigilization process. After you have accumulated several sigil files, named ambiguously, you will invariably forget which file contains what intention. When it comes time to play back the files, you will not be consciously aware of the work you are doing. You will simply be doing the work, free from any expectation. Play ambiguous sound sigils will dramatically improve the results.

Taking Action

When you have built up a number of files, transfer them to your cell phone.  Simply place the phone on your desk at work or table at home. Let the sounds of the recordings superimpose over the sounds of your ordinary day.

Let this become a normal part of your daily routine. You can even set the phone to randomize a playlist of sigils. Keep this list limited to just three to five sigils. Your subconscious is good at creating your perceived reality, but it can only do so many things at once. Select these files to play randomly, and continuously over the course of your day.

Soon, your conscious mind will tune out the extraneous noise, just as it tunes out the ambient noise of your daily routines. Your subconscious will continue to hear it, and may even recognize what was recorded. This is when the work begins to take place. Ultimately, your conscious mind steps out of the picture and the subconscious starts creating.

Furthering your Progress

Success is an ever improving process and you must continuously plan for it. This means you will need to update your daily ambient files, regularly. Over the course of years, if you keep playing the ambient sounds of when you were at a certain level of success, your subconscious will manifest that level of success. In essence, you will lock yourself into stagnation. To combat this, create a new library that reflects your current level of success and update as necessary. Then create new sigils using this new level of success. This will ensure your continuing success and avoid slipping back into a previous stage of development.

This may mean that you need different folders of sigils, each one representing different stages of your success. If you confuse current ones with ones of the past, no major harm may be done, unless something dramatic has changed. Suppose you changed employment and you are now in a job that pays you more and that you love doing.  You do not want to play recording of you in your old job unless you want that job back. If you do not want to return to work at your former job, do not play recordings of it.

From this point forward the onus is on you. You must record your library, learn an audio editing program, and create audio representations of your new life. Continue to update as necessary, and plan for the next step of your continuing success.

Influencing Others

The sound sigilization process is just as effective for altering the belief centers of the subconscious of your own self as it is for others. The process is very similar and uses similar technologies, but there are some differences.

To create an influential sound sigil you will need a few things, two sets of sounds, a disposable playback device and an understanding of your target. One set of sounds documents the way things are now. The second set of sounds set up the way things are to be. Your playback device needs to be disposable and easy to hide. This can be easily accomplished using novelty greeting cards. Look for a card that you can record your own greeting and remove the audio device from the card.

Perhaps the most important this this sigil needs, besides the intention, is a good understanding of your target. You need to understand what your target perceives and how your sounds will influence his or her subconscious belief centers.

When influencing others, they do not need to hear the full daily routine. They just need the parts of that are applicable to them. For example, your boss is not with you when you wake up, drive to work, or go to sleep. However, your boss is aware of the work you currently do, and the work of the promotion you wish to receive. These will be the sounds relevant to you seeking a promotion from your boss.

Once you have an understanding of what you need, the sigilization process is just as it was before.  Record a sampling of each of the sounds and save them on your computer. Be sure you understand the length of time you have on your playback device. When you work in the audio editor, overlap both sounds with equal volume. Make the length of the playback to the same length of time you have available on the device. Record the sigil on your playback device, then secret the device away where your target can just barely hear it, but not discover it.

If you are looking to influence your boss to give you a promotion, and you wish to create an influential sound sigil, you really only need two sets of sounds. The first set is the current ambient noise of the area the job takes place. The second set is the sounds of you doing a similar job. If you are looking for a promotion, you will probably already be doing some of the work associated with the promotion. Record those sounds. If you are doing nothing related to the job you wish, record something similar to the job you are doing to what the job is. Creativity is important but keep the sigil boring.

When you have the sounds set and recorded put them on the playback device. Set the device in, or near, the area you wish to be working. Be sure it is set in such a way your boss can hear it. Over time, these sounds will work on the subconscious of your boss and other employees. They will subconsciously associate your own ambient sounds with the sounds of the area and job you will be doing. This will make it all the more easy to land the job you desire.

This same process can be repeated for any intention you have. The limit is of your own imagination and creativity. Simply design the process and experiment. In time, it will get easier and your success will come quickly.
